Deleting A Corrupt File

I was upgrading some software and came across a corrupt file that halted the installation process. I went to see what was wrong with the file, and failed to manually delete it. I tried moving (cut&paste) it to another location, and the installation succeeded. However, the file is still on my drive, taking up a KB of space. I know that's not a lot, but where am I supposed to put it? In a folder created especially for all the corrupt files on my computer? I've heard something about

Well the question is, ofcourse the smart ones would have already got, how does just simply copying three files onto a floppy make the floppy bootable? I first had a Microsoft solution pop-up, asking to install a fix. that fix worked some time, and then the problem appeared again. Bad Cd-rw Driver In Windows Xp

I am requesting advice on how to solve a bad CD-ROM driver in Windows XP. The problem started when my wife asked me to burn a CD for her on my computer. I of course asked her why she couldn’t do it herself and she told me that she didn’t have a CD burner in her computer. I of course knew this wasn’t true because I built the machine myself and used my old burner. After a heated discussion I drug her up to the computer and showed her that she was either plain wrong or out of her mind. This is

Vista Screen Glitch Problem

I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate edition (x86). I've been having this problem for as long as I've had Vista now and could never find any reliable information about it. When I say freeze, I mean that you can't see the mouse moving, or anything at all moving or updating (including Windows DreamScene). The entire

Windows 7 32-bit Vs. 64 Bit

With the 64-bit Windows installed, I cannot play Guitar Hero III or use Skype, and there's also some minor incompatibilities (but I'm not sure if that is related to the 32/64-bit issue or not). I downloaded the 64-bit iTunes but sometimes it does not launch for some reason (it works most of the time, but when it doesn't, I have to restart). Also some

Copy Files From Win 7, No Access

Hi, I need to copy files from a windows 7 laptop. I don't have the password for the machine. There is only one user account. Reinstalling the OS or recovery mode is not an option. Is there any way I can retrieve the files on a USB? I am thinking if I can get to the command prompt during bootup and if it recognizes the USB, I might be able to copy some of the files at least. Do you think this will work? What could be another option? Sorry, quite lost here. Will appreciate any help.
